Where in the World is Carmen San Diego: The Revival of a Classic

Back then, when the only operating system one can find in a PC is DOS, I was very addicted to an RPG Adventure Mystery game called Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?  Basically, you are a member of a team who is on the hunt for the ever-elusive Carmen San Diego, a famous and very talented thief and her team of baddies.

They basically go around the world and steal famous objects and artifacts, and your job is simple: to find and arrest them.  Pretty easy, huh?  Thing is, you have to be quite knowledgeable about Geography if you want to finish the game.  That was early 1990's.

Fast forward to 2011, Carmen makes a comeback!  And I am sooo excited to be on the hunt for her again.  She is back on Facebook and she is more scheming than ever.

Thanks to Google, finding her is much easier.  3 days into playing the game, and I'm already a Level 15 Constable.  Talk about addicted.  ;)  I just hope they do not run out of cases to solve.  :)

My Ebay Loot

Look at what arrived in the mail two days ago:

I just had to tear the package apart because I cannot wait to check out my loot!!!
I have been dying to try these out so I'm really happy. There are 3 kinds of BB Creams in this loot: Red Bean, Mushroom and Aloe.  There is also a Pore Serum, which I'm very excited about because I have always had a problem with enlarged pores.  The eBay seller included 2 face masks as freebies, and I'm ecstatic about that. And there is the Eye Brightening Serum that I just want to slather on my eye area the moment I saw the pack. And of course, the reason why I got the loot in the first place, the Gold Caviar Toner and Emulsion Set:

I just had to use it that evening, and I can say that I am very impressed with the results.

The toner definitely minimized my pores.  Although, its a little heavier on the face than Olay Total Effects, I love how a little goes a long way.  Plus there are gold flecks on the toner, that makes smoothing it onto the face a million dollar experience.  Hahaha!  I would definitely use this product at night, because I'm not sure if it has SPF.  Olay has, so that would make it perfect for day use.

There are no trial sachets available at the SkinFood store @ MOA.  I scored these from eBay.  If you buy the Toner and Emulsion from the store, you have to buy a bottle, and that would cost you about Php 1K+.  These babies only cost P99 for two sets from eBay. ;)

So far, I have used the Eye Brightening Serum, the Black Sesame Hot Mask, and the Aloe BB Cream.  Individual reviews on each of the product will be posted soon. :)

Waiting...

The online shopper in me just would not rest!

Last Saturday, when we went to MOA, we went inside the Skin Food store (which I have been dying to check out since I saw it there, but got the chance only then).  The products are sooooooo good, but the price is not something I was thrilled about.  But I was dying to get my hands on one of their line, the Gold Caviar line, the whole time!!!

So yesterday, after work, I browsed eBay, hoping to find a good deal on Skinfood products.  And guess what I found!  P99 for two sets of Skinfood Gold Caviar Toner and Emulsion trial bottles!  Isn't that a good deal?  I already sent payment last night, so if the seller is good, she would have sent it today, which means it should be here tomorrow!  I can't wait to get my hands on my loot!  Be sure to post pics here when they arrive. ;)

Till next time!

  • Its Nokia.
  • Its Wifi-ready.
  • And its Qwerty!
Guys, meet Quirky (my husband gave it its name)!

Pretty, huh?

Definitely a keeper!

Review to follow. ;)

Dinner @ Dulcinea

Last Saturday, we celebrated my birthday (belated birthday celebration) @ MOA with my friends and family. The girls and I had a great bonding over coffee @ Bo's Coffee - MOA, but sad that we only had 3 hours of chika and catching up that day.

After that, my family and I went to Dulcinea for dinner. I must admit that this was the first time I ate there, and I had pretty high expectations of the food from what I have heard from my hubby. The food was great, and did not disappoint.

The carrot soup was served first, and while I really do not like eating carrots, I loved this soup. It was light, and well-seasoned, a great starter to our meal.

Dad ordered Gypsy steak, and by the looks of his plate after dinner, I would have to say that he liked it.

Mommy and I shared an order of Paella Valenciana, which is already good for two people ( but from the looks of it, 3 people would be happy to share this dish). It was good, loved the abundance of topping and how the lemon really brings out the flavor of the saffron rice. The shrimp and the squid were cooked well, juicy and soft to the bite. I was really happy with this dish.

Hubby ordered Pollo Rollo, a roll of chicken, ham and cheese. And him being a chicken dish lover, he was really happy with it. The chicken was moist, and the crust was crispy. So he was a happy camper.

We also had calamares to go with our Paella Valenciana, and I would have to say this was one of the best calamares I have had. The squid was perfectly cooked, and melted like butter. Yum!

And my favorite part of the meal:

Churros Con Chocolate!!! It's so good I can finish all the churros and down the chocolate after. Loved it! Will definitely buy this one next time we go to MOA. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

Scored this one after our meal, so I was like walking on clouds that night:

I am such a card addict (membership card, privilege card, rewards card, etc. etc.), so this made me really happy. The perks?

  • Free featured dessert.
  • 15% discount on food and beverage purchases.
How to score it? Just purchase P1000 worth of food and beverage @ Dulcinea and you're qualified to get one. Fun, right?

Oh, by the way, the card is valid at all Dulcinea Outlets. And also, click here (pdf) or here (html) for their menu. Although its not from their official site, the menu is pretty accurate.
