A View From My Window

I was working yesterday when an unexpected visitor was seen outside my window.

I love cats!  Too bad, I do not have the time and the patience to take care of one.  :P

When we become a millionaire, I wanna get a tiger for a pet.  That's a cat, right? :P

Family Day

Last Wednesday, the whole family went to Makati for our family day.  The initial plan was to go to Park Square One, eat lunch somewhere, go to the Ukay shop with Mommy, while Dada, Daddy and Red go somewhere with toys and gadgets, meet up at Park Square One to pick up some stuff from Japan Home, and then go home.

On our way to G5 for lunch.  Red just loves to walk!

"Mommy, stop taking my picture!"

He is loving his new pair of comfy sandals.

When I saw this shop, I just had to take a pic!  Look at the name of the shop.

It's my sister-in-law's name. :)

First two: check.  Then, Daddy had an idea.  Why not go to Makati Cinema Square?  I have never been there, but I read in a blog that there are about 7 Ukay shops there, so I was stoked!  So we went to Japan Home to pick up the stuff we had to buy, then off we went to MCS.  (Sorry for the lack of pics.  The mere mention of the name Makati Cinema Square made me lose my mind. ;))

When we got there, the first thing that popped to my mind: "I am in Dreamland!!!"  Thrift shops (Ukay) on every floor!  (Well, Starmall Alabang is still the wonderland of Ukay having more than 10 ukay stores in one roof, but MCS did not disappoint!)

I scored some stuff for myself and mom, but one of my favorite purchases that day was this:

Gladiators!

Love the fit and the height! And oh, the color, too!

I have some other stuff that I bought from one of other store there in Makati Cinema Square, but they're still in the wash.  I'll post about them next time.  One thing I'm sure about MCS, though:

Need. To. Go. Back. There. :P

"About Us"

My work involves visiting different company websites and looking at different pages within the website.  To be able to know more about a certain company, I need to look at the "About Us" pages.  And, sometimes, I cannot help but get frustrated after reading the whole page and ending up not understanding or knowing what the company really does.  I mean, come on, isn't the whole point of an "About" page to inform its readers what the company does or provides???  That's why it is called an "About Us" in the first place!?

Sorry, just had to rant...  Back to work...

- Gone Too Soon, Michael Jackson

This morning, while I was watching F.A.S.H. on TV, my husband asked me if I knew an AJ Perez, and I said, "Yes, he is a young local actor." Then he broke the news that AJ died earlier this morning in a car accident in Tarlac. I immediately jumped from the bed, and googled if the news is true. And, indeed, there displayed dozens of news story about the accident.

At such a young age of 18, AJ is really gone too soon. He is such a budding actor, having appeared in various TV shows, the latest in Sabel, in which he was one of the main characters. I read Ogie Diaz's tweets about this young actor, and it seems clear that he was a humble, kind and happy person. And he did not disappoint acting-wise. I fought tears when I watched the ASAP Rocks opening number earlier, where they gave a tribute to one of their own. I bet he will be surely missed by his ASAP Kapamilyas, judging from their reactions earlier. Such a waste of a vibrant life.

Condolences to the family and friends of AJ. And AJ, may your soul rest in peace.

New Blog Look!

Okay.  So I have changed my blog template again (for the nth time!).  I actually like this one because it is very similar to the template that I am using for my posterous account.  I have been, for the longest time, trying to get back to the blogging arena, but time has not been really my friend lately.  With taking care of the hubby and Red, two jobs, planning to start a new business, and anything and everything in between, I am finding it hard to manage my time and squeeze a little to blog.

Anyhoo, Red is such a cutie and sweetie lately.  He is at that stage where he loves to flash a million dollar smile to those he wants to show it off to, and to shower loads of hugs and kisses to his Mommy and Dada.  And I just have to say that all the exhaustion and stress in the world can be melted by just one kiss and one smile.

Work-wise, I have two projects that I am currently juggling.  And just thinking about it makes me wanna faint.

The whole fam went to 9 Waves last week.  Dad's company was having their annual summer outing, and we went there a day early so that Red can enjoy the pool more.  When we went there last year, Red was only 4 months old, and he really loved "swimming" in the pool.  A year later, he enjoyed it more that he cried so hard when we got him out of the pool.  But we had to stop because his fingertips were already wrinkled and his lips were blue!  It was a joy seeing him enjoy for an hour.  Priceless...  Will post the pics when I find the time.

Anyway, time for me to go back to work.  Until the next post!  Ciao! :)
